Each week, I will now post my predictions for the weekend, and see if i can get more right than BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson.
This week, the predictions below stand.
This week's predictions | Score | Lawro | Edward |
Arsenal v Stoke | P-P | 2-0 | 3-0 |
Birmingham v Newcastle | P-P | 2-1 | 2-0 |
Blackburn v West Ham | 1-1 | 2-1 | 3-1 |
Blackpool v Tottenham | P-P | 1-2 | 0-4 |
Chelsea v Man Utd | P-P | 1-1 | 2-1 |
Liverpool v Fulham | P-P | 2-0 | 2-0 |
Man City v Everton | 1-2 | 2-0 | 1-1 |
Sunderland v Bolton | 1-0 | 2-1 | 3-0 |
West Brom v Wolves | P-P | 1-1 | 2-1 |
Wigan v Aston Villa | P-P | 1-2 | 1-3 |
I expect the big winners this weekend to be Tottenham Hotspur, should their game at Blackpool beat the weather, unlike the Seasiders' home game against Manchester United two weeks ago.
Spurs are definitely due a big win after two consecutive league draws and the returning Jermaine Defoe may well be the key to unlocking the Blackpool defence.

It might not be as easy as 4-0 after Blackpool's victory over Stoke last week and they deserve a lot of credit for the way they play, but some team has to take their chances. A win for Spurs would close the gap on the top 4 with Chelsea facing Manchester United on Sunday.
This is, without doubt, the game of the weekend, and a United win could send them 5 points clear with a game in hand, should Stoke win at Arsenal. I don't expect either to happen.
Maybe this might be the weekend where Frank Lampard's return may prompt a return to form for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
Didier Drogba has only scored 8 goals this season but, with two goals in his last two league games, the Ivorian will be looking to shine on the big stage once again prior to their trip to the Emirates next week.

Good luck to everyone's teams this weekend.
